# Raise Assets

Raise in ETH, USDG, or any of 43 tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain. The raise asset becomes the currency of the whole game.

**Wide choice of pairs.** A coin doesn't have to trade against ETH. When you launch, you pick the asset your curve raises, and it becomes the currency of the whole game:

* Buyers **spend** it to buy, and **receive** it when they sell.
* The **graduation target** is counted in it.
* The Uniswap pool the coin graduates into is **paired against it**.
* The creator, and holder rewards, are **paid in it**.

Nothing gets quietly converted to ETH along the way. The raise asset is **fixed at launch** and can't be changed.

## Available on Robinhood Chain

| Raise asset | Starting (virtual) reserve | Graduates at |
| ------------------------ | -------------------------: | ------------------: |
| **ETH** (native)         |                   1.68 ETH |             4.2 ETH |
| **USDG** (Global Dollar) |                 4,440 USDG |         11,100 USDG |
| **43 tokenized stocks** | See the table below | See the table below |

Every asset uses the same curve shape: the graduation target is 2.5× the virtual reserve. The stock targets were sized to roughly the same dollar value as the USDG target (about $11.1K) when they were set. Because stock prices move, a stock coin's dollar target moves with its stock.

{% hint style="info" %}
The live list and every target can be read on-chain: `approvedPairTokens(asset)` and `pairTokenEconomics(asset)` on the launch factory. The **native** asset (ETH here, BNB on BNB Chain) is the exception: its curve comes from `getLaunchConfig(id)` instead, so `approvedPairTokens(0x0)` reads `false` even though it is always supported. See [Reading State](/degen-games-docs/developers/reading-state.md).
{% endhint %}

## Buying a coin that raises in a token

* You need to **hold the raise asset** first. To buy an AAPL coin, you need AAPL tokens.
* Your wallet will ask you to **approve** the token before your first buy. That's the standard extra step for spending any ERC-20.
* Prices are quoted **in the raise asset**, not in ETH or dollars. A coin can rise against AAPL while falling in dollars if AAPL itself drops. Watch both.

## Only approved assets

A coin can only raise in assets that Degen Games has approved. Nobody else can add one. That stops a creator from pairing a coin against a worthless token they made themselves to fake a price.

Approval is a judgement that an asset is suitable for pairing. It **isn't an endorsement** of that asset. Degen Games can stop allowing *new* launches against an asset at any time. Coins already trading against it are unaffected.

## The extra risk

A coin that raises in something other than ETH carries that asset's risk on top of its own:

* If the raise asset falls, your position falls with it, even if the coin holds steady.
* If the raise asset becomes hard to trade, so does the coin, because its pool is paired directly against it.
* The graduation target is counted in the raise asset. If that asset doubles in value, it costs twice as much in dollars to graduate the coin.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain are issued by Robinhood under its own terms, which limit who may hold them. For example, they aren't offered to U.S. persons. Make sure you're eligible before you buy them or raise in them.
{% endhint %}

## Available on BNB Chain

| Raise asset | Starting (virtual) reserve | Graduates at |
| ------------------ | -------------------------: | -----------: |
| **BNB** (native)   |                    5.8 BNB |     14.5 BNB |
| **USDT**           |                 4,440 USDT |  11,100 USDT |
| **USD1**           |                 4,440 USD1 |  11,100 USD1 |
| **USDC**           |                 4,440 USDC |  11,100 USDC |
| **AAPLB** (Apple)  |                 13.1 AAPLB |   32.7 AAPLB |
| **NVDAB** (NVIDIA) |                 19.4 NVDAB |   48.5 NVDAB |

More tokenized stocks are approved over time, so check the live list on-chain.

## Other chains

Each new chain launches with its own set of approved raise assets, starting with the chain's native gas token. Read the live list from that chain's launch factory: the native asset's curve comes from `getLaunchConfig`, and every ERC-20 pair token from `approvedPairTokens(asset)` and `pairTokenEconomics(asset)`. See [Supported Chains](/degen-games-docs/multi-chain/supported-chains.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://degen-games-2.gitbook.io/degen-games-docs/how-the-game-works/raise-assets.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
